Imperfection is beautiful" - Enida's UNFOLD experience

When Enida contacted me for her UNFOLD session, I immediately sensed her enthusiasm, but also her uncertainty. She told me honestly that the idea of posing for the camera seemed exciting to her:

"Would I be special enough?" She was eager to let go of her own perfectionism for a while to learn to embrace her imperfections.

I recognize that feeling all too well from the stories of others who are in front of my lens. We live in a world where we are constantly confronted with perfection-which makes us forget how powerful and beautiful imperfection can be.

During the session, I gave Enida space to express her boundaries and be herself, without filters and without judgment. Although she still felt some tension in the beginning, I noticed how she slowly relaxed and surrendered more and more to the moment. She described it herself as follows:

"It was out of my comfort zone and I felt stress at first, but soon I could be completely myself. It even became relaxing, almost meditative. Danny put me at ease and gave me the confidence to be fully myself."

There was one specific moment that Enida found particularly valuable: a photograph in which the acne on her back was clearly visible. Although she found this confronting at first, she also experienced beauty and softness in this image. She told:

"I have been struggling with acne for a long time and always try to hide it. But when I saw that picture, Danny said he liked the spots. That moment was very precious to me. It changed how I look at myself and made me realize that I can be beautiful even with my imperfections."

What touched me most about our collaboration was the moment when Enida first saw her photos. Her reaction was emotional and beautiful at the same time:

"I could hardly believe that was really me in those photos-unedited and yet so beautiful. Even my acne suddenly took on something soft and natural. I realized: I don't have to wait until I'm perfect to find myself beautiful."

That message is exactly why I founded UNFOLD. Not to take perfect photographs, but to help people look at themselves anew, with gentleness and pride. Enida described it aptly:

"Because of this experience, I look at myself with more appreciation. It was powerful, vulnerable, and helped me see that I am good enough the way I am. A real experience of self-love and self-acceptance."

Thank you, Enida, for your trust and openness. Your story and our session remind me why this work is so valuable. Your vulnerability and strength also inspire others to embrace their insecurities and recognize their own beauty.

Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to really see yourself on film? Just as Enida discovered, UNFOLD is not about perfect poses, but about daring to show yourself as you are.

We always start with a no-obligation online introduction. In that meeting you get to know me, you can ask all your questions and feel if UNFOLD suits you.

See you soon!
